Enemy encounters are much more varied in the prototype, with the creatures interacting with the environment. The story concept for the prototype footage shown starts by showing that Alan Wake 2 would continue Alan’s journey through The Dark Place while the rest of the world considered his disappearance something of legend, with a documentary being filmed on his story.
